Q. What does it cost?
A. There are 2 methods of entry to Counselling help from Cairns Counselling.

Cairns Counselling is a charity and relies on public donations.  We would therefore hope that you would manage to provide a donation, however small, towards the upkeep of this service.

Alternatively, we now accept fee-paying clients. This guarantees that you will be seen within 2 weeks of your first contact with us. Our charges are £45 per hour, frequency of sessions will be agreed with your Counsellor. Please note that only cheques and cash can be accepted meantime.

Q. Do I have to know what is troubling me?
A.   No. At times we can all have feelings of dissatisfaction, indecision, confusion and unhappiness that we find unsettling.

Q. Do I need a GP referral?
A. No. While a large percentage of our clients are referred by a GP, individuals who self- refer are welcome and invited for an initial interview to determine if we can be of help.

Q. What does it cost?
A. We do not charge for our counselling but hope you can contribute through a donation, however small, after each counselling session.

Q. What happens if I need to cancel?
A. If you asre a fee-paying client and cancel within 48 hours of your appointment we will keep £22.50 towards admin costs and the balance of £22.50 is forwarded to your next appointment.

If you provide 48 hours notice or more the full £45.00 is forwarded to your next appointment.
